Summer Passport Program Returns June 11!

Get ready for a season of exploration, discovery, and prizes!

Albany’s beloved Summer Passport Program kicks off on June 11, 2026! Children and families are invited to explore Albany, complete fun challenges, and win fantastic prizes all summer long.

How to Join

Passports will be available for sign-up on Thursday, June 11, at the Historic Albany Carousel and Museum, 503 W 1st Ave, from 2 to 4 p.m. for their Last Day of School Lu'au! Can’t make it that day? No problem! Passports will be available at the Albany Visitors Association and Albany Regional Museum through Friday, July 31. The program runs until Friday, August 7, with grand prize winners announced at the Carousel Carnival on Saturday, August 15.

Passport Booklet

This free adventure guide includes logos, addresses, and maps of all participating businesses and organizations. It also includes space for your child’s name and a Polaroid picture of them, much like a real passport! In the back of the passport, you will see the logos of each partner, where your child will collect a stamp from each business. Every stamp boosts their chance of winning exciting prizes in our grand finale drawing!

Explore with “Albany Safari”

This year’s theme is “Albany Safari!” At each stop, children are invited to take part in a playful “Safari” challenge with a focus on endangered and vulnerable animal species from across the world. When they spot the safari animal poster inside each business, they’ll read a fun fact about that animal, repeat what they learned to a staff member on-site, and receive a stamp in their passport! If a child is unable to read or repeat the fact, their guardian or peer is allowed to help them out. This challenge is meant to be educational and fun! While the program is geared toward kids ages 2 through 17, siblings, parents, grandparents, and caretakers are all welcome to join the adventure.

Weekly Fun & Prizes

Each week, families will receive a digital newsletter with updates, bonus challenges, and prize opportunities. Thanks to our generous local sponsors, cool prizes will be awarded every week!

The Big Finish

Completed passports must be turned in by August 7 to qualify for final prizes. Then join us at the Carousel Carnival on August 15 for the grand prize drawing, a celebration of explorers, and one last chance to get your passport back—stamped with summer memories.
